Richard Alan Bennett, MD, FACOG

Richard Alan Bennett, MD, FACOG

Board-certified OB/GYN Richard Alan Bennett, MD, FACOG, is a dedicated specialist serving women of all ages at Gallatin Women’s Center in Gallatin and Lafayette, Tennessee. He has nearly two decades of experience in providing state-of-the-art care for a wide range of conditions and major events in a woman’s life.

Dr. Bennett attended the University of Louisville School of Medicine, graduating with honors. He completed his internship and residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, serving as chief resident.

Dr. Bennett has several papers published to his name in prestigious scientific journals like American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Fertility and Sterility. He has also contributed to “The Resident Companion,” the internet-based study aide for CREOG examination.

He is a member and fellow of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and is affiliated with Sumner Regional Medical Center in Tennessee for attending to labor and emergency needs of his patients.

Highly trained and honored in the medical community, Dr. Bennett treats women through all phases of life and develops a special one-on-one relationship with every patient.


John K. Trussell, MD, FACOG

John K. Trussell, MD, FACOG

Board Certified Dr. John K Trussell, FACOG joined Gallatin Women's Center October 2019.  Dr. Trussell grew up in West Tennessee and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Furman University and his medical degree from University of Tennessee Health Science Center. After medical school he joined an OB/GYN practice in Augusta, GA. Dr. Trussell is a certified DaVinci robotic surgeon specializing in robotic hysterectomy surgery.

Although he and his wife enjoyed their time in Augusta, they decided that they wanted to move back to Tennessee to be closer to both their families. They currently live in Hendersonville, TN with their dogs Sailor and Stella.

Dr. Johnson received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Arizona College of Medicine located in Glendale, AZ.

He completed his residency at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren, MI and has been practicing at Women’s Healthcare of Illinois since 2019. He is a certified DaVinci robotic surgeon specializing in robotic hysterectomy surgery.

As an osteopathic medicine practitioner, he is trained in understanding how the mind, body, and spirit connect and impacts the body. Dr. Johnson focuses on ensuring you not only get better but that you live better.

Dr. Johnson enjoys watching University of Georgia football, playing soccer, basketball and running. As a father of 4, he and his wife love to hike and spend time outdoors with their children.


Brad Leath, MD, FACOG

Brad Leath, MD, FACOG

Dr. Brad Leath joined Gallatin Women’s Center in August 2023. 

Dr. Leath received his medical degree from Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, WV and completed his residency at University of Tennessee, Chattanooga.

Dr. Leath has been providing Obstetrics & Gynecology services in Crossville, TN since 2020. 



Whitney Buck, MD

Whitney Buck, MD joined our practice September, 2024. Dr. Buck graduated from University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology in 2015 and received her Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies in 2019. She completed her Obstetrics/Gynecology residency at Ascension Providence Hospital in Southfield and Novi, Michigan Summer 2024.        Whitney and her husband love spending time outdoors, playing with their two lab mixes, Olive & Penny, and are thrilled to be moving back to Tennessee and joining the Sumner County community. Rachel Walker, WHNP

Rachel Walker, WHNP

Rachel graduated from Frontier Nursing University and received her Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner license in June, 2023. She has ten years of nursing experience, including working with women in the specialty of Obstetrics & Gynecology, and completed over 675 clinical hours in Women’s Health in Houston, TX.
